Islamabad United is owned by Ali Naqvi and Amna Naqvi, while a major part of the franchise’s management is handled by Leonine Global Sports. Back in 2015, when agreements between the PSL and franchises were finalized, the estimated value of the Islamabad United franchise was set at $15 million. However, recent discussions suggest that this valuation may rise to around $30–40 million.
Islamabad United Captains & Coaches
Islamabad United’s early success can largely be credited to Pakistan’s prominent batsman Misbah-ul-Haq, who captained the side for three years before handing over the captaincy to Mohammad Sami in 2019 who has represented Pakistan in numerous international matches. Since 2020, Pakistan’s star all-rounder Shadab Khan has been leading Islamabad United and will continue to captain the team in PSL 11.

Islamabad United’s PSL records is best so far. Overall, their winning percentage is significantly better compared to other franchises. They won the PSL titles in 2016 and 2018, and later, under the captaincy of Shadab Khan Islamabad United became champions once again in 2024.
