Wasim Akram Lighthearted Swipe During PSL Roadshow

At the PSL Road Show held on 08, December 2025 at Lord’s, Wasim Akram made a light hearted remark with a bit of sarcasm. The event was attended by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, Ramiz Raja, Salman Naseer, and players including Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, and Sahibzada Farhan. He used his words in this manner:

“Foreign players, when they come to Pakistan, prefer to be here for 35–40 days. More than that—two-and-a-half to three months—is a bit too long. Even I get bored,” Akram said.

He further said that the IPL runs for more than two months while the PSL lasts a maximum of thirty to thirty five days. This is why many foreign players prefer a shorter league instead of signing a contract that keeps them busy for two to three months.
