Peshawar Zalmi Retained Players PSL 2026 Including Babar Azam
In Pakistan Super League 2026, Peshawar Zalmi have announced their three retentions, selecting players from three different categories.
PZ Retained Players
Peshawar Zalmi retain Babr Azam in Platinum category. Although it was a tough competition for this slot, with players such as Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Haris in contention. Zalmi officials convince Babar Azam to remain part of the Peshawar Zalmi for PSL 11.

In the Diamond category, Peshawar Zalmi have retained Sufiyan Muqeem, who has been representing Zalmi as a quality mystery spinner. He has also delivered strong performances in international cricket over the last few matches. After being upgraded from the Gold category, Sufiyan Muqeem will now feature in the Diamond category, where he is expected to showcase his skills and make an impact for Peshawar Zalmi once again.
In the Gold category, the retained player is Abdul Samad, a hard-hitting batsman from Faisalabad. He will continue to be part of the Peshawar Zalmi squad this season as well. Abdul Samad is known as a powerful T20 batter and has been seen playing in several T20 leagues around the world.
In the Emerging category, a major name retained by Peshawar Zalmi is Ali Raza. He has already represented Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League and has delivered impressive bowling throughout the season.
By doing so, Peshawar Zalmi will complete their four retentions and will finalize the remainder of their squad through the PSL player auction scheduled on 11 February.
