New PCB Regulations: Ban on Surrogate Advertising and Betting Sponsors in PSL

The PCB is preparing to ban non Islamic sponsors in the upcoming editions of the Pakistan Super League. A strict plan is being finalized by the PCB to manage and regulate such sponsorships, as the board has decided that it will not allow the image of the Pakistan Super League to be damaged in any way. These conditions will also be included in the agreements of both existing and newly registered franchises. Any kind of promotional content involving betting, gambling, or similar activities will not be allowed. Earlier, several cricket players, including Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan, along with many fans, raised concerns on social media about PSL promoting betting and gambling applications. Due to this growing criticism, the PCB was compelled to take this decision.
