PSL 2026 New Model Finalized for New Teams – Big Event of 44 Matches
The PCB has finalized the financial model for the two new teams, which is very important for the PSL 11 auction. In this edition of PSL 11, the 7th and 8th teams will be added through the auction process, and the auction date has been finalized as 8 January.
According to the PCB, every new franchise will be given a minimum guaranteed amount of 850 million rupees. If the central revenue pool generates less than this amount, the PCB will cover the difference. This guarantee has been officially confirmed.
These conditions will play an important role in promoting the Pakistan Super League and supporting its growth. Investors from Pakistan, the UK, and the USA have shown strong interest in acquiring ownership stakes. The process is expected to be finalized by 8 January, when the two new teams will be added to the PSL through the auction.

PSL 11 Matches Update
With the inclusion of two new teams in PSL 11, the number of matches has been increased from 34 to 44. The first match of PSL 11 will be played on 26 March. The tournament will last 39 days, and the PSL 11 grand final will be played on 3 May 2026.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has stated that a new venue in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, will also host PSL matches this time. This is a positive development for cricket fans and for the region, including Gilgit Baltistan.
