PCB Decides to Auction for Multan Sultans Franchise before PSL 11 Draft
It has been decided that Multan Sultans will also be handed over to a new owner through an auction ahead of PSL 11.
Yes, the PCB has taken an immediate decision to proceed with the auction of Multan Sultans, and foreign investors have shown interest in the process.
According to sources, the advertisement for the Multan Sultans auction and the registration date for bidders will be announced before PSL 2026 draft date. Earlier, the PCB had announced that it would operate Multan Sultans itself for the PSL 11 season.
However, a new announcement from the PCB has now confirmed that Multan Sultans will also be offered to new owners through an auction.
Open Auction for Multan Sultans Franchise
Like the two newly added PSL teams, Multan Sultans Franchise will be sold through an open auction process. The new owner of Multan Sultans will take charge of the team from PSL 11 and will have the advantage of playing matches at Multan Sultans’ home venue, a benefit that the two newly introduced teams in Pakistan do not currently have.
Along with foreign investors, Multan Sultans’ former owner and Ali Tareen will also be part of the bidding process.
The PCB has announced the PSL 2026 draft date as 30 January 2026, while the first match of the PSL will be played on 26 March.
