PSL 11 New Franchise is Likely to Name Sialkot Stallions

The owners of the two newly added PSL teams have shared a tentative timeline for when the team names, logos, and other details will be announced.

The new owner of the Sialkot franchise, OZ Group, say that they will finalize and announce the official name and logo related to Sialkot within the next few days.

There has also been talk on social media suggesting that the new Sialkot franchise may be named Sialkot Stallions, which would revive memories of the former Stallions glory. However, no official announcement has been made regarding this yet.

On the other hand, the second new team to join the PSL is Hyderabad, and its owners are also expected to announce all related details, including the team name and logo, before PSL 11 draft.

PSL 11 New Teams Venues

As far as the franchise values of these two new teams are concerned, both the Hyderabad and Sialkot franchise owners believe that they would prefer their teams to play at venues within their own cities.

However, when it comes to the current condition of Sialkot Cricket Stadium and the cricket stadium in Hyderabad, both venues are still in poor condition, making it almost impossible for them to be available for PSL 2026 matches this year.

But there is a possibility that in the future, potentially from PSL in 2027, one or both teams may get the chance to play matches at their home grounds. For this season, however, it doesn’t appear easy.

On the other side, from the PCB’s perspective, Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad, also known as Lyallpur Stadium, may be added as the fifth venue for the Pakistan Super League 2026.

However, confirmed information regarding this is expected to be shared by the franchises and PCB officials in the coming week.
